New description:

 I got this error:

 {{{
 --->  Extracting gcc43
 Error: Target org.macports.extract returned: shell command " cd
 "/opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_lang_gcc43/work"
 && /usr/bin/bzip2 -dc
 /opt/local/var/macports/distfiles/gcc43/gcc-g++-4.3.4.tar.bz2 |
 /usr/bin/gnutar --no-same-owner -xf - " returned error 2
 Command output: /usr/bin/gnutar: Skipping to next header
 /usr/bin/gnutar: Archive contains obsolescent base-64 headers

 bzip2: Data integrity error when decompressing.
         Input file =
 /opt/local/var/macports/distfiles/gcc43/gcc-g++-4.3.4.tar.bz2, output file
 = (stdout)
 }}}

 The problem appears to be in the source files, that i tried downloading
 from different sources.

 I had to alter the port file to not use bz2 compression.
