 Presumably yes, it would stop any python26 module from automatically
 building universally -- which is exactly how it should be IMHO. If you
 want to install any port universal (including a python26 module), you
 should install it with the +universal variant. Python modules in MacPorts
 currently break users' expectations by attempting to install universal
 even when that module's +universal variant has not been requested.
