Comment:

 Sounds like the same error message as #18618. In that ticket, the user was
 trying to build python26 +universal without having installed its
 dependencies +universal. Is that the case here as well?

 Alternately, did you perhaps build some of your ports before upgrading to
 Mac OS X 10.6? If so, see [wiki:Migration Migration].
