 it seems like everything is set up correctly and working like a charm.

 The distfiles mirror can be found here: http://macports.distfiles.ionic.de

 Last thing to do is to add an A and AAAA record do your zone file, if
 applicable. Just create a CNAME record for de.rsync.macports.org to
 macports.rsync.ionic.de and another one for de.distfiles.macports.org to
 macports.distfiles.ionic.de.

 As soon as this is done, I'll add the data to the Mirrors wiki page. Let's
 do this first, because there is no way to control the distfiles place to
 look for (but I guess somebody has to hardcore that into port.)

 I hope I could help out and European users can enjoy a new service.
