 Well,
 to repeat, the reason to stay with 2.8.9 is that some dependencies,
 especially wxPython, do not build with 2.8.10. This is due to the odd
 convention of wxPython upstream to include wxWidgets in their releases
 with some improvements of their own rendering the dependency useless. I
 have complained about it with no result. I hope we have better luck (sic!)
 next time. But there is no guarantee having wxPython to play nice with the
 stable releases of wxWidgets;(
