 This is actually only a problem if you're booting the 64 bit kernel. I had
 been doing this on my MBP using the arch=x86_64 kernel option. Then I got
 a Mac Mini where even though I enabled the 64 bit kernel option, the mini
 doesn't honor it. cdrdao compiles find under Snow Leopard with the 32 bit
 kernel but errors out running the 64 bit kernel.
