 ...but then it tries to activate expat and fails. Perhaps expat is
 installed but not active? I don't know why it wouldn't be able to activate
 it; MacPorts doesn't appear to have explained what error it encountered.
 Try uninstalling expat, cleaning it, and installing it again.

 sudo port -f uninstall expat
 sudo port install expat
 }}}

 What port were you trying to install? gettext? Try cleaning that too
 before reattempting installation.
