 Apologies, for the question but I guess I might need t specify that
 variable in the environment and I cannot find in anywhere the specific
 settings for it.

 Well it wasn't that. Still liblastfm itself doesn't do any arch
 manipulation.

 If there's a bug here, it's with MacPorts IMO.

 Then, the environment looks breaking the compilation for some reason,
 missing the xarch variable definition at some point.

 Any idea what might it be?
