 Clean install of 1.8.2.  I have the latest (as of Jan 22,2010) version of
 XCode.  It fails trying to build prereq i386-elf-binutils since it too is
 borked.  I fix the problem with strings.c inside binutils and try again.
 It fails building i386-elf-gcc with the output I have attached.
