Comment:

 I'm reopening since it still doesn't work.
 {{{
 $ sudo launchctl load
 /Library/LaunchDaemons/net.sourceforge.smartmontools.smartd.plist
 net.sourceforge.smartmontools.smartd: Already loaded
 }}}
 But the daemon isn't running.

 Other plist files have <key>RunAtLoad</key><true/>.
