 Sorry; I was going for the debugging output, e.g., from "sudo port -d
 install qwt52".  I'm expecting to see a line "DEBUG: Executing variant qt4
 provides qt4" somewhere in that output.  I'm wondering what the command
 line was you used, so that I can try replicating this issue.
