 Hello vh3,

 You should build libnids against libnet ... ( or install dnsiff-devel )

 anyway you can try this

 remove libnids and libnet11
 {{{
 sudo port uninstall libnids
 sudo port uninstall libnet11
 }}}

 apply this patch to libnids portfile's
