 I don't know what to tell you. Both versions you attached look pretty bad
 to me since they're not antialiased, though the 2.4.0 rendering looks
 slightly better to me since you can now distinguish the dots over the i's.
 Not sure if this is the effect of enabling the bytecode interpreter
 hinting or something else. Suggest you communicate with the developers of
 Freetype directly.
