#25806: Mesa won't build/upgrade
---------------------------------+------------------------------------------

     Type:  update               |      Status:  new

 I'm attempting to install wine-devel and mesa is failing to upgrade. Its
 trying to update MesaLib to 7.8.2 but I've checked the distlist and 7.8.1
 is only avaiable not sure if that has anything to do with it. But the
 following error message appears after typing ''sudo port install wine-
 devel'':

 {{{
 Error: Target org.macports.build returned: shell command failed
 Log for mesa is at:
 /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_x11_mesa/main.log
 Error: Unable to upgrade port: 1
 Error: Unable to execute port: upgrade mesa failed
 }}}

 Also as a sidenote question, what is the best way to edit the macport.conf
 file so I can have permissions to remove the comment/# symbol to let
 buildmakejobs equal 0? I have no idea how to use vi and text edit won't
 let you do save changes even if you give the user writing privileges to
 the .conf file.
