 System: powermac dual G4 7448a, OS X 10.5.8, macports 1.90, gcc-4.4


 Building arpack fails in "proc make_dylib".

 The linker command complains of a missing symbol:

 ld: symbol dyld_stub_binding_helper not defined (usually in
 crt1.o/dylib1.o/bundle1.o)

 A patch for the Portfile is attached.
