 FYI, I posted a mail a few goes ago in macports-dev. As MPFR 3 is binary
 incompatible with previous versions, it needs some testing in MacPorts,
 e.g. by recompiling one of the gcc* versions (as GCC uses MPFR). I'd like
 to know if someone has done some tests (I'm a bit blocked by bug #25194
 but I may try). I'll try Math::MPFR too (now that the new version is in
 CPAN).
