 Please clean ghostscript and try again with the debug switch:

 sudo port clean ghostscript
 sudo port -d install ghostscript build.jobs=1 2>&1 | tee
 ~/Desktop/ghostscript.txt
 bzip2 ~/Desktop/ghostscript.txt
 }}}

 Then attach ghostscript.txt.bz2 from your desktop so we can see what
 really went wrong.
