New description:

 hi guys,

 i have a problem to install boost 1.42.0 on snow leopard with the
 universal option. without this option everything is fine.

 my command is the following:
 sudo port -d install boost +universal > port_boost.txt 2>
 port_boost_error.txt

 it seams there was a similar problem with boost 1.40.0, see ticket:21408 .

 are there any advices how to fix this problem.
