 I guess threre are two port:ruby in your macports system[[BR]]
 and the settings of sources.conf, that regularly exists as
 /opt/local/etc/macports/sources.conf,[[BR]]
 prefers ruby-1.8.6-p114.

 please check your sources.conf.

 the command `port file ruby' tells us which Portfile macports uses.
 like this:
