 thank you in any case, i will wait for your updates.
 one thing: i see that a line regarding emacs is always involved in my
 error messages, and also in the piece you have just sent. since i had
 redefined the command "emacs" to be the one that opens the application
 Aquamacs Emacs.app, cannot it be the/one source of the problem? sorry for
 saying this at this stage, only now i realize it could be important..
