 The G-D's honest reality is that ever since installing MacPorts (over a
 year or more ago) it has CONSTANTLY been broken. For an Open Source
 project the quality level of this project is beneath even Alpha. It amazes
 me that with the egos people have in the Open Source world that such a
 lacking quality (it took me WEEKS to get MacPorts installed as so many
 things were broken when I uninstalled entirely the olde version and
 started from scratch).

 No, I find it unacceptable to just "comment out code", asterisk compiles
 on its own as a standalone package outside of MacPorts fine, the MacPorts
 folks ought to really fix it outright or remove it from availability. The
 fact that they allow broken software to continue to be distributed as if
 it worked is deplorable.
