 I don't have a lot of help to offer except to say that I had this exact
 same problem last night with a brand new MBP running 10.6.3 (not server).
 I downgraded to gettext 0.17, reinstalled gawk and gsed, and got the exact
 same errors that Marcus seems to be getting above. I finally just
 reinstalled all the ports and installed PHP 5.3, but I really need PHP
 5.2, so let me know if I can help in any way.
