 Two problems: somebody's config.cache is shipped in the tarball, and the
 configure script doesn't run ncurses5-config, so it doesn't know where to
 find the headers. And CPPFLAGS is ignored, so we have to tell it via
 CFLAGS. Attaching a patch.
