 Currently the minimum IDs for the adduser and addgroup Portfile commands
 are hard coded to 500.  If you have LDAP or NIS users in the same numeric
 range it is IMHO desirable to allocate IDs from some other range.

 The attached patch adds two macports.conf variables that specify the
 minimum UID and GID.
