Comment:

 This patch does not work because it removes the checksums for the
 documentation distfile, which makes the +doc variant fail.

 Why does this patch switch to a zip distfile? the zip distfile is larger
 than the tar.gz distfile. Why not switch to the tar.bz2 distfile which is
 smaller than either of them?
