 Ok, so the relevant error in the config.log is:
 {{{
 ld: in /usr/lib/libgcc.a, can't map file, errno=22
 }}}
 Does /usr/lib/libgcc.a exist? It does not on my system, so I don't think
 it's supposed to be there. If it does exist on your system, move it aside,
 clean the failing port ("`sudo port clean policykit`") and try again.
