 Trace:

 $ sudo port install gcl
 Password:
 Error: Cannot install gcl for the arch(s) 'x86_64' because
 Error: its dependency gettext is only installed for the archs 'i386 ppc'.
 Error: Unable to execute port: architecture mismatch

 When I forcibly install gcl's many dependencies with the +x86_64 option,
 gcl fails to compile.

 Specs:

 Mac OS X 10.6.5

 ~MacBook Pro 5,1
