New description:

 updated macports to latest.

 MacPorts 1.9.1

 {{{
 --->  Computing dependencies for apr
 --->  Building apr
 Error: Target org.macports.build returned: shell command failed
 Log for apr is at:
 /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_devel_apr/main.log
 Error: Unable to upgrade port: 1
 }}}

 OSX 10.6.4

Comment:

 The relevant line from the log is:
 {{{
 /usr/local/include/uuid.h:94: error: conflicting types for 'uuid_t'
 }}}
 Remove this file and anything else in /usr/local; software in /usr/local
 interferes with software compiled manually or with MacPorts. Clean apr
 before trying again ("sudo port clean apr").
