 R port maintainer here: the attached diff updates the R port to version
 2.12.0. Also, I removed the fix I added in revision 2 for R 2.11.1 for R's
 pkg-config info since this has been fixed in the general distribution.
 Also also, I added a variant to build with gcc45 to address bug #26976.
