 I see. This will definitely take a little time but it doesn't seem too
 daunting. I have to take a few hours sabbatical to attend an event before
 I can really sink my teeth into it, but I'll post back. Thanks, guys, for
 the pointers. I was not sure what type of document a Portfile was, so that
 helps to know that. Also, the page describes ${prefix}/etc/macports. I'm
 guessing that ${prefix} actually references /opt/local, as that is the
 only place I see /etc/macports containing source.conf.
