 Same problem, essentially the same configuration (different Macbook).
 Also had it installed previously but cleared out my ports to remove
 clutter.  Some other ports not requiring aquaterm installed fine but
 installing gnuplot failed on aquaterm dep and aquaterm solo-install failed
 with same error reported.
