 I ran into this problem on an multicore  iMac.[[BR]]
 Based on the output
 {{{
 make -j8 all
 }}}
 it seems to be the same for the reporter.

 Adding
 {{{
 use_parallel_build no
 }}}
 to the Portfile fixed the problem.
