 I have the same issue. I am not sure how to resolve it using #24942. I
 have numpy 1.4.1 linked to Macports atlas, can I not do the same with
 numpy 1.5?

 Downloading source and building manually works but it uses the OS's BLAS,
 LAPACK. Corresponding lines:
