 I see this too. [http://bugs.gentoo.org/249985 The first result on Google
 for "`mach_dep.lo' is not a valid libtool object"] shows this is a
 parallel build issue so I turned off the parallel build in r71723 along
 with updating the port to version 2.6.7.
