 Well, selfupdate should download all the new port definitions, and upgrade
 MacPorts base itself if necessary. And then you should upgrade all your
 outdated ports. Yes, if you haven't updated in awhile, there may be lots
 of ports to rebuild; ports are updated constantly, as new versions of the
 software are released by their developers. You really should upgrade them
 all to avoid any problems.
