 Thanks for the quick fix !

 The problem is almost solved because the gimp META port still depends on
 xsane and xsane will build with gimp support by default so linking fails.

 The workaround right now is to specifically build xsane without gimp
 support before installing gimp but it does not make much sense in a user
 perspective.

 I wonder if a universal variant of the gimp META port should just drop the
 xsane dependency.
