 We tested some more and seem to be getting the same error in another
 prefix-location which includes numbers in the path, "/i386". I'll do one
 more build into a prefix with some other numbers to see if the problem is
 with number in general or this specific string.

 I'm wondering if a problem like this is problem that could be solved in
 MacPorts?  Or should this be reported to the Transfig developers?
