 I just noticed the latest PortAudio is 20110326. Download link is:

 http://www.portaudio.com/archives/pa_stable_v19_20110326.tgz

 I will try to compile the latest stable release, and see if the error is
 gone. Depending on this, I will suggest updating the portaudio port to
 this latest release.
