Comment:

 Yeah we don't really have a standard for that, I don't think it's come up
 before. If the file were needed at runtime I would have suggested a
 location that wouldn't get cleaned up at startup (like /tmp does). But
 since it's only needed to compile, and we can't distribute it, /tmp is as
 good a place as any.
