 You're installing it with `-motif` only? That's not supported and we
 should throw a better error. You should have one of +motif, +xaw, +nextaw,
 +xaw3d, or +no_x11 selected.

 ...and we should probably simplify those variants; I don't think we really
 need so many, and +no_x11 probably ought to become -x11 somehow.
