 arm-none-eabi-binutils 2.21.53.0.1 has a bug when compiling armv7-a code
 (I haven't tested other ARM architectures), it says the r15 register is
 not allowed:

 }}}
 Other versions of binutils compile the following test code properly:

 {{{
         .cpu cortex-a8
         .fpu softvfp
         .text
         strb pc,[r4,#0]
 }}}
