 Could you attach the log?

 It looks like you have LAM/MPI installed and it's grabbing that during the
 compile.. Do you have lammpi installed? If so, try deactivating lammpi and
 then clean/build mpich2. If that fixes it I'll mark the conflict in the
 portfile.
