Comment(by ryandesign@…):

 The header says "`#define CURL_SIZEOF_LONG 8`" because curl is built
 64-bit. That will be fine when building virtualbox on 64-bit kernels. For
 users like me with 32-bit kernels, curl will have to be recompiled
 universal. The header will then contain an #ifdef to define
 CURL_SIZEOF_LONG correctly depending on architecture.
