 Some quick googling suggests that this might be compiler related. Which
 compiler are you using? OTOH, if a small patch could avoid the problem,
 I'd be happy to use that route instead, so please do attach a diff.

 As a side note, if you get gazebo compiled, I'd be interested in your
 build notes. I might be able to translate that into a Portfile.
