 That has nothing to do with the problem. Those are packages; we're talking
 about distfiles. What does the file
 /opt/local/var/macports/distfiles/expat/expat-2.0.1.tar.gz contain? It's
 supposed to be a gzipped tar archive of the expat source, but the error
 message tells us it's actually an HTML file, so for example copy that file
 to your desktop, rename it with .html at the end of the filename, and open
 it in a text editor or a web browser and tell us what it says. Or just
 attach it here.
