 Cleaning likely won't help here: you'll just rebuild and hit the same
 issue. Just try updating it again and watch the logs, as the process
 that's crashing isn't logging why it's crashing to MacPorts.

 If that doesn't show anything, then I'd recommend deactivating/force
 uninstalling the current virtuoso prior to updating in case the wrong one
 is being run.
