The python_select port still exists, it just no longer provides a program
called `python_select` (#29531), nor is it appropriate for any port such
as fife to require python_select; python_select is exclusively for the
convenience of the user. The port's entire `pre-build` block probably
needs to go away. The port probably needs python variants.
