 Linking against the libpng in /usr/X11R6 is not acceptable. Please
 [http://www.libpng.org/pub/png/src/libpng-1.2.x-to-1.4.x-summary.txt
 update] the code for compatibility with libpng14 if possible, otherwise
 use the libpng12 port. Also, you should not choose whether to build 64-bit
 based solely on the OS version. Look at $build_arch.
