 I have to say that I'm with `vince` on this - the message was my fault. I
 normally don't submit a patch until I get a clean install. Unfortunately,
 due to one-too-many terminal windows open, I ''thought'' that I had had a
 clean install. I should have been suspicious that the compile didn't take
 eight hours.

 Anyway - enough kvetching - it's the standard comedy of errors that
 happens once in a while, and probably is not a ''huge'' deal since
 already-installed-and-working `atlas` installs will continue to work; it
 is only the upgrade that will fail.

 Am building on SL/gcc45 now.
