Comment:

 The gnu gcc versions do not support universal builds.

 I have added a sysgcc variant that conflicts with the gnu gcc variants.
 This will build universal.

 I've also added variant conflicts between the gnu gcc versions and the
 universal variant to prevent any confusion in the future.
